Privacy

Here is what data AYITISKILL collects, why, who can see it, and how you can manage it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account: email, name, preferred language and password. Your password is never stored as written: only an encrypted version is.
  • Phone: optional. It only appears on your public profile if you choose.
  • Date of birth: to make sure everyone is 18 or over. It's never shown on the site.
  • ID document (if you send one): only the AYITISKILL team can see it, in a private space. The photo is deleted right after the check; we keep only the result (verified or not) and the date.
  • Talent profile: name, headline, bio, skills, city, country, links, photos, services and portfolio.
  • The jobs, applications and messages you write on the site.
  • Questions you ask the Èd assistant: they are not saved. We only count how many questions are asked (with your account, or a scrambled network address if you're not signed in) to limit costs; that count is deleted after 2 days.
  • Anti-fraud: a random ID kept on your device (cookie and browser storage), a browser fingerprint and your network address (IP). They're stored in scrambled form, only to stop one person from creating several accounts for fraud. The sign-up page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block robots.
  • Technical: cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, and a log of blocked-word attempts for safety.

2. Who can see it

  • Everyone: published talent profiles and open jobs.
  • Only the client: applications sent to their job.
  • Messages: only the 2 people in the conversation. The AYITISKILL team can read a conversation only if someone in it reported it, and that read is recorded.
  • Your email never appears on the site.

3. Why we use it

  • To run the site: accounts, profiles, search, jobs, applications and messages.
  • To send emails: confirmation, password, notifications and job summaries. You can unsubscribe in Settings or from any email.
  • Security emails: we email you about a sign-in from a new device, a password change, a change to two-step verification, or a lock after too many wrong passwords. These emails can't be turned off, because they protect your account.
  • For safety: blocking spam, scams and offensive words.
  • We don't sell your data, and there are no ads on the site.

4. Services we use

  • Supabase: database, accounts and photos.
  • Vercel: hosting the site.
  • Brevo: sending emails.
  • Anthropic (Claude): the Èd AI assistant. What you type in the assistant, along with your profile information if you're signed in, is sent to Anthropic to get the answer. Don't type private information in it.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile): anti-robot check on the sign-up page.
  • These services process data for us, only to run the site.

5. Your choices

  • You can change your information and profile at any time.
  • You can take your profile off public view or delete it.
  • You can delete your account in Settings. This deletes your profile, photos, services, jobs and applications.
